2024 has been an incredible year and now I’m looking forward to 2025 as a student thanks to Creative Futures Academy in conjunction with Creative Spark Enterprise Fab Lab and NCAD (National College of Art and Design).
My 3 month artist residency at Creative Spark in Spring 2024 was an amazing experience and led to me gaining the confidence to apply for my first studio space, joining Bó Studios over the summer thanks to An Táin and the Arts Council of Ireland. Louth County Council Arts Office has supported my artist practice indirectly by supporting initiatives like Bó Studios and directly through the EDI Bursary Award which has allowed me to begin darkroom training which will continue into 2025.
I was very fortunate to also be commissioned to produce a series of portraits for Spinal Injuries Ireland Spinal Art project this year which were exhibited in the RDS during their national conference. I was also commissioned to create work for a beautiful Brigid’s Cloak project which will come to fruition in Febraury 2025.
