I’m photographic artist and sustainable photographer Julie Corcoran. I’ll be working with the local community group using the photo voice research method, inspired by my work with Lynn Clarke-Hearty.

Artist Tom Meskell specialises in willow lantern sculptures and will be advising the project in ways to illuminate the work.

Turas offers individuals a tailored pathway towards personal recovery from drugs and alcohol by providing a confidential and non-judgmental service for individuals and their families.

The first session took place on Tuesday, 19th May. Photovoice approach explained and photo missions discussed. Film cameras were handed out.

The second session took place on the 3rd of June, cameras collected and experiences discussed.

The third session took place on the 7th July, with a slideshow featuring all the developed photographs.

The exhibition will take place in November 2026 at Creative Spark Downtown Hub.
