Lú’s Lantern: Photo-Voice illuminations of Louth

This project is funded by the Department of Culture, Communications, and Sport through the Creative Ireland Programme and is facilitated by Louth County Council.

Working with local community group Turas and supported by Creative Ireland Louth, this project will illuminate everyday lives in Louth through analogue photography and sustainable willow lantern sculpture.

  • I’m photographic artist and sustainable photographer Julie Corcoran. I’ll be working with the local community group using the photo voice research method, inspired by my work with Lynn Clarke-Hearty.

Artist Tom Meskell specialises in willow lantern sculptures and will be advising the project in ways to illuminate the work.

Turas offers individuals a tailored pathway towards personal recovery from drugs and alcohol by providing a confidential and non-judgmental service for individuals and their families.
